Doug’s made some seriously cool furniture over the years. If you’ve got a space that you’re not sure about he’ll happily pop out to your place with a measuring tape, a pencil and get brainstorming.
Restoration and Repair
An intake of breath, followed by a groan?! We can fix that scratch, ding or broken part!
Do you have a well loved piece of furniture that’s been passed down? An awesome score from Trademe? Or insurance work that needs attention? We have the tools and skills.
From a chair repair to a full restoration we can help. We have a wide variety of finishes and techniques so that your furniture looks amazing again.
Construction
All our furniture is handmade using traditional techniques. It’s the kind of furniture that you’ll be proud to own and that will stand the test of time.
All drawers are dovetailed. Carcasses are assembled using hardwood dowels.
We use top quality furniture finishes and hardware.
You can have full confidence you’re getting what you’ve set your heart on.
We use a large range of both exotic and native timbers including Rimu, Kauri, Tawa, Beech, American Oak, Black Walnut, Mahogonay and more.

About Us
We are a small family business. Doug has been making furniture for over 24 years. (It’s kind of scary, our customer’s children are now our customers!)
When you’re getting something made or restored it’s great to be able to have one person to deal with. That’s Doug! He will talk you through the process, design it, construct, then deliver and install. He’s a really nice guy-you’ll like working with him. At the end of the process you’ll have a high quality piece of furniture that you’ll love.
We are centrally located in Ohaupo which is great for our customers in Hamilton, Raglan, Cambridge, Te Awamutu and further afield.
